Is there an appropriate way to wear both your engagement and weddings rings after you are married?

I heard that the traditional way to to wear the wedding band closer to the hand, and the engagement ring “on top” of it, so that the wedding band is closer to your heart. However, Ive also heard the reverse. I am married for over 20 years and finally got a solitaire diamond engagement ring that we couldn’t afford when we were younger. I do want to wear both. Congratulations Sharon on getting your solitaire. I’ve had this question a few times from friends and clients. You are right about tradition. The wedding rings circular shape symbolizes unending love and it placed on the finger that was believed to lead directly to the heart. It goes on your finger first so that that there are no interruptions between it and the heart. Then your engagement ring follows.

That is traditionally. But I think you should wear it whatever way feels comfortable to you.
