Non-traditional wedding ideas for music lovers?

My fiance and I really love music and we want a simple wedding. I’ve never really been thrilled with the idea of a huge church wedding. We want to keep it laid back and fun. The wedding party & guests will probably be under 10 people. I actually like alot of the Vegas styled weddings – helicopter ride, gondola ride, etc. They seem really fun, but we probably won’t be getting hitched in Vegas. If you could spin ideas like that though, it would help.

If you head up to just about any ski resort in BC/Alberta, they’ll offer helicopter, gondola, horseback riding, ATVing and any other type of package you could imagine. They are all a stone’s throw away from world class gold resorts. They’ll also have hotels to hold your guests, and venues for your ceremony and reception. On top of that, you’re in the most beautiful place on earth. If you choose to go in winter it’s picture perfect, and you’ll be able to make use of the ski resorts, spas, natural hot springs, snow mobiling, snow shoeing, ice skating, and any other such activity. Here are a few lovely places:

Fernie
Jasper (Alberta)
Banff (Alberta)

They’re great party towns with great live bands on top of all that, so if you want to stay a week or two and call it the Honeymoon, you’ll be far from bored. Lots to see, lots to do.
