Wedding Questions

wedding questions????!!!!!?

I have several questions… I was never the little girl to think of a dream wedding.. i have never been to one and dont really know how it goes.. like the ceremony how does it go like do our parents walk down the isle and then sit down.. I want a small outdoor wedding so I really dont want to pay a lot for a wedding planner. i mean im only going to have two bridesmaid.. my fiance and I are paying for this all on our own.. so my next question brings me to is there a wedding loan that i can possibly turn to.. bc its a small wedding I wont need much but i am s full time mommy and student and my fiance is a diesel mech. so one income right now.. thanks in advance!

For a loan, you have a credit card or you go to your bank and inquire about opening a personal line of credit. I really don’t reccommend getting into too much debt for a party though. Nothing that could not be paid of in a few months with realistic payments. Also, how secure is your husband’s job? Have there been cutbacks or talks of layoffs? You don’t want to take out a loan and then he gets laid off and you are in default. It can hurt your credit and cause problems later. You can find out from the Social Security Office (try the website) approximately how much he would get per month from unemployment if he got laid off. This may sound sillly but you MUST consider these things when you take out a loan of any kind. I have known too many people who have thousands in credit debt or car loans that they take out when times are good at work, not knowing they wil be laid off later. Remember we are in a recession and when the banks got their bailout money they were NOT required to loan money and have been very stingy about doing so. And people are not able to just run out and get jobs right away, some people have been on unemployment for almost two years.

With that being said, you can start a budget (if you don’t have one already) and figure out how much you will be able to save each week/month. That is the first thing you need to do. No point in planning a thing until you know how much you have to spend on each thing.

After you have a budget you need to call/email venues. Most of them will email you info and pricing. If something looks like it’s in your price range, set up appointments to tour each place you like. Things to consider are if they provide catering and alcohol or if it’s BYO.

As for the ceremony, that is up to you. There are SO SO SO many different ways people do it. Why not try to watch Wedding videos on YouTube to get an idea of how people set it up. You can also google “Wedding Photographer Photos”. Usually they want to show off their work so they will have pictures of different weddings.

Some brides walk alone up the aisle. Others have their fathers or both parents walk them down. Some people have flower girl and/or ring bearer (little kids). Others do not. You really need to watch some wedding videos or “A wedding story on TLC” if you have cable tv. Those can be found on YouTube also.

After you decide on venue, the next big cost is food and alcohol. Guest list should be made sort of at the same time because as you see how much food costs, it will help you narrow down your guest list OR decide to make the food so you can have everyone.

Keep checking back here as you start to come up with a budget and venue. The peole who work at the wedding venues will help guide you, so booking appointments and meeting with them in person will help answer your questions.
