How much should we spend on thank you gifts for our parents (for help with our wedding)? Any ideas?

We are trying to determine what the price range is and also get some ideas for gifts to get our parents to say thanks for all that they’ve done, not only for the wedding, but our whole lives. What are some of the gifts you have given your parents in this situation? Thanks for your help!!!!

a nice thank you card is usually an appropriate thank you gift but I sent the card and took them out to dinner and had a couples-only-night. we went to the movies and then to dinner. it’s a great time for your new husband to bond with your parents and for you to bond with his. the grandparents also. tell funny and embarassing stories and its all in good fun. congratulations
