What should I buy my husband for our first wedding anniversary?

My heart is saying to get him something to commemorate our wedding day that will show him how much he means to me, but my brain keeps saying men don’t care so much about sentimental stuff, and that I should just get him things he wants. I just don’t feel comfortable with it being our anniversary and me giving him a video game! Any suggestions on appropriate gifts?
