Invitation For Engagement Party

Her 3rd, His 2nd, and neither one are divorced~?

The wedding is December 13,2008 and they just sent out engagement party invitations. The invitation has an insert that they are registered at Dillard’s. This is her third marriage and his second, and neither one have a finalized divorce decree yet. Isn’t it inappropriate to expect gifts to the engagement party? If it was decided to bring a gift, what would be acceptable? He already owns a home and she already has a child. Thanks for your thoughts!

I wouldn’t touch this event with a ten-foot pole.They are living in some kind of fantasy and are trying to drag friends and family in as well.
If they actually do have a wedding
