Engagement Ring Costs?

My boyfriend asked me what I would like in an engagement ring. He didn’t give me a dollar amount as to how much he wants to spend. I have a few ideas. About how much will they cost. I figure my boyfriend can’t spend more then 5K, 6K at the very most.

Platinum is very expensive, and any diamond over 1 carat is pricey as well. However, if you get just under a carat, they are less expensive (something about a full carat dramatically increases the price!). Then you can have platinum and a nice diamond!
Also, it’s not just the size that determines the price. You should both learn about the 4 C’s of Diamonds before you go shopping: Cut, Color, Clarity, and Carat.
