Claddagh rings for both?

I’m engaged, and I want to buy a ring for him too. I really like Claddagh rings, but I’m not sure if it’s traditional for both people in the relationship to have one? Is it ok for just one person to wear it? He’s buying me a gemstone engagement ring so we wouldn’t have the same kind.

It’s not traditional for a man to have an engagement ring, but it’s definitely become more popular in recent years. I say if you want to get him one too, why not? Us women get to proudly flaunt the fact that we’re taken, so they should be able to too.
