Did anyone else not have a big production of a proposal?

I think secret and romantic engagements are so sweet and I love to hear stories.

My husband proposed to me over dinner. We had actually talked about getting married, and talked about rings, but I had no idea that he had actually bought a ring yet. When we were walking away from the car toward the restaurant, he said, “Oops, I forgot something.” And he went back to the car by himself. As he was walking back to me, I said, jokingly, “What, did you forget the ring?” I was completely joking, but as it turns out, I was right! We laughed about that later.
